Kakaba Reserve
Our Kakaba Reserve Pinot Noir 2014 was awarded 93 points by James Halliday His notes: "From two vineyards at Kuitpo and Gumeracha, the first with clones G8V3, MV6 and D4V2, the other with clone 777. The colour is very good indeed, still crimson-dominated, the bouquet as fresh as the colour suggests; red cherry and plum dominate the palate through to the midpoint, where spicy/savoury notes take over." The Kakaba Reserve wines represent the pinnacle of our Adelaide Hills winemaking.
Small parcels of wine, made from the highest quality grapes, nurtured in the vineyard and then very carefully treated in the winery, with minimal winemaking intervention and sensible use of quality French oak. Our aim is to make elegant wines which express the terroir of the vineyard and exhibit purity and vibrancy of fruit. |

Full bodied with integrated oak spice, exceptional length and velvety tannins" 2013 Tempranillo
"Dark cherry, with rich plum overtones, cinnamon spice with hints of chocolate and vanillin. Medium bodied with balanced mineral acidity and textural savoury tannins" 2013 Pinot Noir
"The fruit was sourced from Kuitpo in the coolest, southern most part of the hills and is a mix of G8V3, MV6 and D4V2 clones. The resulting wine exhibits elegant dark cherries with lifted Satsuma plum and nuances of beetroot, integrated cinnamon spice and hints of fennel seeds. The wine is well balanced with length, drive and persistence" |
